Silver Ore Lace Agate
Lace agate is called the "happy stone" and is said to bring laughter. This particular stone is sort of dear to me because I found out about it when I was on a family vacation! It came from a mine (called the Calico mine) in Barstow, California. Because of the dangerous conditions in the mine (seismic activity and overall age of the supports) they have closed the mine, and thus, the supply is limited. the black spots in the stone are silver ore. The other bands in the stone are agate that formed around the silver. The trapezoidal cut of the stone is referred to as a "ladder" cut. 2 Inches long by 1 inch wide, closed bail, and wrapped in gold filled wire.

Teal and Purple in copper

The colors in the pendant are very rich teals and purples, and change as the pendant turns, giving it the appearance of artistic movement. It is very sturdy, yet delicate looking.
